The KZN Sharks Board is implementing the internship program as part of its contribution to skills development initiatives.
The KwaZulu-Natal Sharks Board, previously the Natal Sharks Board and Natal Anti-Shark Measures Board is an organisation that maintains a “shark control” program off the coast of KwaZulu-Natal Province, South Africa, at 37 places. The purpose of the nets and drum lines is to reduce the number of shark attacks.
What does the Sharks Board do?
- Protects bathers against shark attacks.
- Conducts biological research on sharks.
- Educates the public about the activities of the KZN Sharks Board.
- Informs the public about the role of sharks in the marine environment.
Requirements
- three-year (3) Bachelor’s degree
- National Diploma from a recognised University or College
A stipend of R7000 will be paid.
